Principal's Newsletter
10/9/14
As the weather turns colder and Columbus Day approaches, our students are beginning to feel the demands of the school year ahead. Progress reports have been distributed on paper in the Middle Grades, and on Aspen for the High School. Students should now be getting a good picture of their quarter standings, and working to fulfill all their obligations before the quarter officially ends, on October 31. Each day, our building is full of activity. Our seniors have picked their senior projects, and will begin work on their yearbook in the coming weeks. They are also beginning to complete their college applications. Our sophomores will be taking the PSAT next week to help prepare themselves for what is to come.
Senator Reed and Congressman Langevin Visit.
We were treated to a question and answer session from our congressional delegates this week. They were here to visit our Island, and we appreciate that they took the time to meet with our high school students and answer their questions.

School Bus Safety
Parents, just a few reminders for your children.....
* Cross only when the monitor or driver says it is "ok"
* Always stay seated while the bus is in motion
* Please remember, no eating on the bus
* A reminder for all small spaces... As the seasons change and we start to see more colds arrive, be watchful of your health by not spreading and getting germs.
Students Learn About Fire Safety
It seems like yesterday that Tadgh O'Neil sat in the crowd to listen to his dad Chris give his annual fire safety talk to our elementary grades, in honor of fire safety week. We applaud our dedicated squad and the sense of volunteerism they instill in our youth.
