EOG Action Plans and Final Push Towards EOG Success (Growth---->Proficiency)
AVID Elective Applications Due May 10th & AVID Site Team Meeting 5/10 5-6pm
Applications for the 2017-18 AVID elective classes are due to homeroom teachers by Wednesday, May 10th. Applications must include a teacher recommendation. Applications will be reviewed by our AVID site team on Wednesday afternoon and scholars who have applied for the AVID elective will be invited to in-person interviews starting the week of May 15th.
Open House & Community Q & A Thursday, May 11th
On Thursday, May 11th from 5:30-6:30 we will host a community Q & A session to allow our current families to meet with families from the Sedgefield and Dilworth Neighborhoods to discuss how the proposed student assignment plan will impact our scholars and our campus. We will also discuss our 2017-18 plan to improve student achievement, school culture and high school readiness for our all of our scholars.
Progress Reports May 16-17
4th Quarter progress reports will be distributed to scholars on May 16th & 17th. This will be the final progress report distribution before EOG testing and before reports are distributed at the end of the year.
Spring Career Fair May 18th
We are seeking professionals from various career fields to participate in our school-wide career fair on May 18th from 9-1:00pm. Volunteers are asked to talk about the various components their career field. This includes post-secondary educational requirements, technology or tools used in your profession and your daily responsibilities. Please contact Reggie Robinson or Ashaki Means at 980-343-5840 to secure your spot at the career fair.
