SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Orphan Train
In anticipation of a very special event to be held at the Statesboro Library on April 1st, we will be hosting a showing of the movie, Orphan Train. Patrons are also encouraged to read the book that this movie is based on and join us for a book/movie discussion at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, March 30th.
About the movie:
In 1854, there were living on the streets of New York City over 10,000 abandoned orphaned children. Out of this desperate situation was born the orphan train.

PRESERVING FAMILY PHOTOS
Learn how Photoshop can be used to help preserve old family photos for future generations. Peter Bergeron will show you what to do and what not to do when trying to touch up your old photos. Photoshop will be available on the 2 Genealogy Lab computers for patrons’ use so you’ll have a place here at the library to put into practice the skills learned!

POETRY SLAM
Calling all poets and poetry lovers, alike!! The Statesboro Library is hosting our first ever poetry slam in honor of World Poetry Day. A poetry slam is a poetry competition in which the artist performs their piece and a member of the audience is chosen to give their feedback. The audience will choose a winner and a prize will be given. Contestants sign up at the circulation desk.
