PTO

Happy Holidays from ECEC PTO. Thank you for all your support.

Please join us at our next PTO meeting on Thursday, January 5th at 4:30 pm.

From the Nurse...

As we head into the gift giving season, keep in mind that toys should be fun and safe. Arts and crafts, construction sets, puzzles and dress-up/pretend play are all great toys for preschoolers. Toys should be age appropriate with no small pieces or sharp edges. All art materials should be labeled nontoxic. Toys are a tool to help kids develop, but it's the parents who nurture that growth.

Adopt a Family

A Christmas tree is in our lobby. Feel free to stop by to see what is needed for the families and elderly we are adopting this holiday season.

Weather Changing!

With the weather changing, please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing. We WILL be going outside every day unless the temperature falls to 20 degrees or it is raining/snowing. Gloves, hats, and coats are a MUST! Also please check your child's backpack and make sure they have the appropriate change of clothes for the weather conditions.

Counselor's Corner

One of the biggest keys to building a strong healthy relationship with your child is just spending time with them. Sharing in fun times brings families closer. This holiday season set aside family time like starting a game or movie night, designating an evening for dinner such as marinara Mondays, or simply reading books each night before bed. This family time will be priceless and times your children will always remember!

Mason's Message

Ruff! I decided to go with no shave November just like my human guy friends. The students are loving my long coat. I am also wearing cute holiday headbands to greet my students in the morning. Be sure to ask your child about me!

Lunch Reminders (full day attendance)

  • If your child (full day attendance) arrives after 9:30 they will need to bring their lunch because lunch is ordered at 9:15.
  • Lunch money should be placed in a separate envelope.

READING CALENDAR

The Nightly Reading Record Sheet is an amazing way to make sure reading is a priority in your house. When your child returns a monthly reading calendar completely filled in, they will receive a fun book and a prize to take home. PLEASE take the time to print this calendar for your child. http://www.troy.k12.mo.us/domain/88 Monthly participation allows your child to learn and also spend quality time with you.

Children are made readers on the laps of their parents.”

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)

Each month a PBIS sheet will come home with your child to help your family support the positive behavior that your child is learning and practicing at school. Hopefully PBIS will encourage your child have positive behavior at home as well. Please read over each item on the monthly PBIS sheet and when your child has completed those tasks he or she can return it to school to add a cutout to our PBIS wall. A copy of the form can be found at this link. http://www.troy.k12.mo.us/domain/88

The Character Trait for November is Respect.
