A Message from Principal Choquette 11/17/17
Good afternoon. I hope you all had a good week. Next week is a short week with a half day on Wednesday. All students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. This is an exciting time of year for many of our students and their families. I would however, ask you to also remember in your thoughts the students and families who really struggle this time of year. Whether it's a loss of a loved one, parents not being able to afford presents for their children, the homeless and hungry, or our families who may be struggling with their own health or that of a family member, please be thoughtful of everyone and remember that although this is a time of year to celebrate with our families, it can be a very difficult time of year for many of our families.
The lost and found items will be donated during the winter break. Please come by and see if you have anything that belongs to your children. The lost and found can be found outside of the cafeteria.
The roof is complete! Thank you all for your patience. They are just wrapping up a few final details on the roof and in the library and then we are good to go.
I would like to inform those of you who celebrate Christmas that the folks at the Garden House at Look Park are offering a sensory friendly/special needs friendly time to see Santa and his trains on Monday, December 11th, 3:30 PM. Doors open to the public at 4 pm, but I was told that that day is really slow, so they will probably be able to extend the sensory friendly time a bit more. This is the first time they're doing something like this, so the more families that show, the better.
Great news! Ms. Paixao's classroom is finished. Her fourth grade class will start classes back in that classroom when we return from the Thanksgiving break. Thank you to everyone who helped support Ms. Paixao during this time.
