Mitchellville's Math & Reading Fair

Information for Teachers

Get Ready for the Fair!

Rather than having another Title I Night full of sessions and activities, we've decided to showcase our wonderful students instead! To do this, we're going to have a Math and Reading Fair.

What is a Math and Reading Fair?
It's similar to a science fair, only with math and reading! During the fair, students will show a math or reading project to attendees and answer any questions they may have.

When is the fair?
Tuesday, February 10th from 5-6:30pm. Meal 5-5:45, fair 5:45-6:30. We have blocked February 12th as our backup date.

Where will the fair be held?
Students and their projects will be set up in the gym, cafeteria, atrium, and hallways.

What do we need you to do?

Well, we need you to work with students on choosing a project, providing work time, and guidance as needed.

I don't know where to start! Can I see some examples?
Sure thing! For some inspiration, check out the photos and ideas below.
