Reading Scavenger Hunt
PCBC Library Summer Reading Club 2020
Join the Adventure - Starting June 1
Reading Scavenger Hunt! Adventure is the theme as you search for great books and fun experiences. Starting June 1, read different types of books: about animals, recommended by a friend, with pictures only, and so on. Lots of ideas to stretch your boundaries.
Download the Scavenger Hunt Map and a Treasures Log to keep track of your progress. Bring your completed Treasures Log to the Library (when we re-open) and take home your prizes!
Rules:
- For kids age three through 12. Preschoolers can have stories read to them by their favorite older person.
- Books should be on grade level.
- Books can come from any source. This year: Audiobooks are okay but still not the movie version. Check out our ebooks on Overdrive. If you don't have an account, email us and we will set one up for you.
- Five of the items are experiences, e.g., “with a favorite toy.” 19 are actual books.
- Overlaps are okay, up to two. (I.e., your mom’s favorite book might also be about being brave.)
- Books/experiences can be read in any order.
- We will wrap up the summer reading fun on Sunday, September 6th.
Prizes: One animal sticker for each book or experience – you take ’em home with you.
One little stuffed animal if you finish. To be picked up in the library when our campus and library re-opens.
