California Gold Rush
Right around 80,000 immigrants made their way into California during 1849. People were shipped around Cape Horn or through the Panama shortcut. Competition was fierce. New methods arrived to be quicker, and prices of mining material shot up. People had to find an ounce of gold just to break even on the prices.
Battle of the Alamo
The Battle of the Alamo took place in San Antonio, Texas and begun December 10, 1835. Santa Anna brought forth his army to get to Texas. As they arrived in Texas the guards spot them and warn Colonel Travis who anticipated the fight, they did what they could to strengthen everything. The Alamo was built not to be a fort but for a mission.
Nat Turner's Rebellion
A slave named Nat Turner lead a rebellion in Southhampton County, Virginia. Turner lead and the followers killed around sixty women, men and children on the night of August 21, 1831. 16 people including Nat Turner were captured and killed them all. The white men were in rage and at random killed Blacks.
