I hope that you all enjoyed the three day weekend! it is always nice to have a bonus day. Last week we had a very successful spelling bee with our 4th grade students! Our winner: Michael Strain and Runner-Up: Mason Meloccaro will both compete in the district level spelling bee at WHES on January 28th. I am so proud of all of our students who competed in the class and school level bee! Math Day was also a wonderful success. We received a lot of very positive feedback from our families. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the students as they taught their parents how to do "today's" math. Thank you for all of the hard work you put in each and every day to make events like these so successful!

*** Reminders***

*If/When you are sending a student for behavior to the office, please call the office first to ensure that either Mrs. Marchetti or myself are available to meet with the student. It is not appropriate for other members of the office staff to be handling student behavior. I appreciate that all "hands are on deck" but we need to ensure safety and consistency when dealing with student behavior.

*Please arrive with your class on time to lunch and specialist classes. If you are unable to arrive on-time due to unforeseen circumstances please notify the office, cafeteria or specialist teacher.

*Outdoor/Indoor Recess will now be decided consistently among all three of our Elementary schools. Each week a school is in "charge" of the decision and it is shared with all three schools. We will notify you by 10:00am of each day regarding recess. Please call the office if you take your students out for recess before this time and check before going outside.
