READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK!
A message from Mrs. Black-
This year, I would like to invite parents from your respective classes to read to your students during their library time. Parents can sign up to read by clicking on this Sign-Up Genius link. Please note that time only allows for 1 parent reader per class.
If a spot is already filled and you would like to be a mystery reader in the classroom please email me separately and we can arrange a time for you to come in.
What's Happening in the Classroom??
- Innovation: Students will be moving to Engineering where they will be learning and creating a model membrane.
- Language Arts -Students will finish up our Technology unit in ELA. Students will continue to identify and summarize key events and identify cause and effect relationships in a text. Students will finish their speech for the living innovator museum.
- Math -In math, we are continuing our unit on Fractions. Students will be able to explain any unit fraction (1/b) as one part of a whole. We will explore fractions using manipulatives. Students will begin to compare fractions and identify equivalent fractions.
