Message From the Principal

Good afternoon, Abbott families, students and staff members!

As we approach the last day of school tomorrow and the end the 2022/23 school year, I would like to thank all of our students, parents, and staff for making this year so successful and memorable! The end of the school year is always bittersweet for both students and staff. We are happy to finish the school year, but we also know that many of our students will be moving on.

To our 8th graders, we will miss you and wish you nothing but good luck and success as you prepare yourselves for the start of high school!

To our 7th graders, we will see you in the fall! Please spend time enjoyig your summer--rest, relax, and READ over the summer. Think about what your goals are for next year and be prepared to come back Abbott Proud!

To our teachers and staff---it takes a team! Thank you for the hard work and dedication that you gave to our students all year long. You too rest, relax and rejuvenate this summer.

I'd also like to thank Detective Kuta for his 9 years of service to Abbott MIddle School and our school community. Many of you may not know that he is retiring at the end of this school year. Thank you for all you have done for the many students, families, staff, and community members who have come through our doors.

I am one proud principal, and wish you all the BEST summer!!! I am attaching several informational flyers to our Facebook and webpage in the upcoming days. There are many student opportunities that are available this summer for our students---too many to attached to this message.

We will see you in August to kick off another great year together! Please look for Warrior Weeklys when we get closer to the start of the school.

Best Regards,

Principal Zugel

Field Day Tomorrow, May 31, 2023

Tomorrow is Field Day for all eligible students It is going to be a warm field day tomorrow!

  • Please have your student apply sunscreen before school as we cannot have any at school due to allergies and sensitivities.
  • Students should also bring a reusable water bottle. They will be able to refill it from coolers outside and drinking fountains inside. Anything else students bring must be carried with them all day, lockers will not be used and nothing will be left in classrooms as all students are dismissed from outside at the end of the day. We are not responsible for any items left laying unattended.

If your student does not attend school tomorrow, they may not be on or around school property during the day or during dismissal.
