The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares

Question #1

I am right now reading The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. The book is about four girls whose names are Carmen, Lena, Tibby, and Bridget. They are all spending their first summer apart. Carmen is going to visit her father and spend the summer with him. Lena is going to Greece to visit her grandparents. Bridget is going to a soccer camp in Baja, Mexico. Tibby is staying at home and working at Wallman's. When Carmen thought she and her dad would spend summer together. Plans had changed, her father was engaged to a woman named Lydia. Carmen would have a soon-to-be stepmother. I have a connection to this because I sometimes like it or don't like it when plans change. If I had a friend coming over and plans were changed because they were sick. When Lena goes to Greece to visit her grandparents, her grandmother tells her about a kind boy named Kostos who lives with his grandparents. Throughout the book she learns that he originally lived in New York City but moved to Greece when his parents and younger brother were killed in a car crash. When Bridget is at summer camp, she falls for a coach named Eric. Eric feels the same way about her but he says they can't because those are the rules in the book. This connection is similar because I can't always get what I want. Bridget wants to be with Eric but she can't due to the rules. Tibby is working at Wallman's and the assistant manger is mean to her. One time when she is walking through the store, she sees a girl who has fainted. She then goes to her house learns that her name is Bailey and she has leukemia. She and Tibby become friends. Bailey likes to make Tibby guilty since of her leukemia disease. Sometimes I am made looked guilty by my sister and she always wants to look innocent.

Question #2

I have so far read 12 books this year and I am not very sure why I got this far. I really want to at least get to 20 before the end of the year. I guess I need to read a bit more faster.
