Principal's Message
The first week of school at OTES is in the books! We are so lucky to have so many wonderful children here at our school and we look forward to an exciting year of growth.
We appreciate everyone's extra patience with the new procedures in the morning. We have tried to remind people to use caution in our dooryard and make sure you are adhering to the safety rules driving in and out of the school. Our students' safety is our number one priority. If everyone follows the traffic rules, we can move quickly through the drop off process to create a warm, welcoming school environment for all. KINDNESS goes a long way at OTES.
We had our first Parent-Teacher Club Meeting on Wednesday, September 4th. This group of parents and teachers provide so many wonderful opportunities for our students. We need more parent helpers than you think to provide these activities. Join our PTC Group, we meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 pm. Here are a few upcoming events you can support by signing up on our Volunteer Sheet:
Riverfest September 28th: We need help with the concession stand and bringing items to sell. Here's the link for sign up: https://signup.com/go/EhFHFyt
Ice Cream Social October 10th at 12:00 pm at OTES: Here's the link to volunteer and help: https://signup.com/go/shoeuzq
Research says parents that involved in their children's education have a better chance at school success.
Walk to School Day: Our first walk to school day of the year! We meet at Perkins Street Park and walk down the bike path with staff members. Join us at 7:15 am!!!!! A great way to start your morning!
Download our RSU 34 APP: If you haven't done so already, download our school's APP on Google Play or the iTunes Store. This will keep you up to date on activities, events, and other announcements from our school and district.
Follow us on Facebook: We use this platform to share pictures, events, and fun daily happenings at our school RSU 34 OTES. Each classroom teacher has its own Facebook Page connected to their classrooms. This is a quick and easy way to see those daily experiences in your child's classroom.
Have you returned your child's paperwork with updated contact information???? Please make sure those numbers and cellphone information are up to date.
