Shout Outs
Thank you to Cope and Spencer for jumping in and helping at the breakfast cart!
Diaz, thank you for jumping in where needed when we have been short-handed a few days for tasks.
Cofield, you were a trooper last week without a voice. Hope you are feeling better this week!
Survive and Thrive PD
VBCPS is offering a session for teachers focusing on Wellness and Curriculum. The session will be January 15, after school at Green Run High School.
Breakout sessions will focus on self-care, mindfulness, happiness and productivity hacks. There will also be curriculum specialists from the Department of Teaching and Learning to answer any questions you may have.
The target audience for this session are teachers in year 1-3; however all are encouraged and welcomed!
Reminder
Copy Machine Changes
The Department of Technology commenced the implementation of a new print services project thereby upgrading our print services to support Chromebook printing on multi-function devices (MFDs, aka Xerox copy machines). The installation of new software and accompanied upgrades to MFDs will cause a temporary disruption of normal print services. The afore noted project will impact you in the following ways:
- Temporarily you will not have to use your ID and password to use a copy machine. Most copy machine functions will be available without the need to authenticate (log-in).
- You can still send print jobs to your favorite printer and or copy machine and the print job will print to that specific printer or copier, however,
- You will not have the option of follow me printing. That means you no longer will be able to send your print job to one copier and go to another copier and release the print job.
While we cannot provide you with a time table for the completion of this venture we do expect that normal printing services will return by the start of the new year.
