Gestalt therapy
Hello all!
I am thinking about doing an independent study in Gestalt therapy this winter block with Tony Himes. It would be similar to the counseling skills class in that we would study Gestalt theory and then practice facilitating, switching between the client and therapist role. This would be an depth study and immersion in Gestalt. The main goal of the independent study is to gain experience in the facilitation role, with Tony as our supervisor. We would also have the opportunity to go down to Phoenix a few times to meet with one of the founders of the Arizona Gestalt Institute and perhaps work with other Gestalt therapists in Phoenix.
To partake in this independent study you must have taken and completed Tony’s Gestalt therapy class that is offered in the spring semester. Completion of the Counseling Skills class would also be an aid in this endeavor but can be done without.
I am looking for a minimum of one other person and maximum of six people to join.
