Principal's Message
MyStudent Portal and Required Acknowledgments:
Thank you to the 56.9% of our families have completed the required acknowledgments in the MyStudent Portal.
The required Parents' Bill of Rights acknowledgments and consents are viewable in the Parent Portal: http://pasco.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus/?skipSAML=true.
Parents can find additional information to assist in making an informed decision by visiting the Parents' Bill of Rights page: https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/oll_documents/parent-bill-of-rights
Completing the acknowledgements and consents are EXTREMELY important as they prescribe the resources available to your student while they are at ZHS, including clinic access, counselor access, media center access, PSAT and other testing supports, yearbook photos, and more. ZHS staff can only use the information that is available in myStudent (what you have in your parent portal). In an effort to assist families with this information, you can view the district video on how to complete the consents at: https://livepascok12fl.sharepoint.com/sites/School_Supports_Management_Resources/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?id=%2Fsites%2FSchool%5FSupports%5FManagement%5FResources%2FShared%20Documents%2FParent%27s%20Bill%20of%20Rights%20Materials%2FParent%20Guardian%20Consent%20Form%20and%20Acknowledgment%207%2D31%2D22%5F%5F%5F3%2Emp4&parent=%2Fsites%2FSchool%5FSupports%5FManagement%5FResources%2FShared%20Documents%2FParent%27s%20Bill%20of%20Rights%20Materials&p=true&ga=1
Please be sure to complete these acknowledgements and consent tasks as soon as possible so that we can effectively assist your student and you.
If you have elected to opt out of the Media Release for your student, please be aware that this selection also excludes your student from school pictures, being in our yearbook or school newsletters, and social media/media recognition for sports or academic success.
If your opt out was done fully informed with all of the additional information above, we respect your decision. If you have any questions about any item, please reach out to your student's grade level team.
Bulldog PRIDE:
Our behavior, academic, and conduct standards are exemplified through Bulldog PRIDE.
PRIDE stands for
Proud
Respectful
Individual Thinker
Dedicated to Academics
Engaged
During the school year, we recognize students for showing Bulldog PRIDE in the classroom, in the cafeteria, on campus, and in the community with HERO points and other rewards.
Closed Campus:
ZHS is a closed campus. Students are expected to remain on campus for the entire school day and do not have permission to leave campus for food/lunch. Additionally, outside food, food delivery, and food sales is not allowed, as it jeopardizes our Free and Reduced Meal status. These deliveries will be refused.
We are Bulldog STRONG!
--Dr. Christina Stanley
