Message From the Principal
Good Evening Oakville Otter Families and Happy Friday!
Today, we end the 1st Marking Period of the 2021-2022 school year! It is hard to believe we are already a quarter of the way through the year. Be sure to check out the update on report card distribution below in the "Update from the Front Office" section of the SMORE.
We also say goodbye to October this weekend and hello to November on Monday! We sent October out with a bang with our Harvest Festival/Trunk or Treat on Saturday. Check out some pictures below!
Finally, a big CONGRATULATIONS to the following fifth-grade students for being selected by Ms. Drake to represent OES in the Elementary School All-County Honors Chorus! They are busy rehearsing and preparing for the concert on November 9th at Leonardtown High School.

Honey Baked Ham Fundraising
Back by popular demand, the OES PTA will continue with their Honey Baked Ham Fundraisers (just in time for Thanksgiving). ALL Money and Ham Orders are due by no later than November 18th! Pick Up for the Hams will be on November 23rd from 5:30 to 6:30.
**A hard copy of the order form will be sent home directly with students.** The hard copy order form and payment will be due at the same time and can be returned to school in an envelope labeled "PTA Honey Baked Hame Fundraiser Form and Money".

"You have no idea what is at steak here!" Join the OES PTA on November 10th from 4 to 10. Dine-in or place a To-Go order and show this flyer so that OES can get 10% of the proceeds.
Outdoor Movie Night - 11/19/2021
OES PTA will be presenting their first-ever Outdoor Movie Night showing "Free Birds" on November 19th at 6pm. Bring an outdoor chair or blanket to sit on. We will be having concessions for sale. (Don't worry .. if it rains, we will treat it like a drive in movie!)

Update from the Front Office
Employment Opportunities within SMCPS

Report Card Information
The end of the 1st Marking Period is Friday, October 29th. Report cards will be available to parents on Tuesday, November 9th through HAC. Report card comments/narratives will be emailed to parents by the teacher at the end of the day on November 9th.
Please be sure to reach out to the front office if you need assistance accessing your HAC account.
