OES Curriculum Nights

Please be sure to check our OES calendar for upcoming Curriculum Nights. Fifth grade had an a great turnout for their Curriculum Night last week. The purpose of Curriculum Night is for parents and guardians to better understand the grade level curriculum, behavioral and organizational expectations. There is consistency among the school and grade level for some things, and other expectations are teacher specific. When parents/guardians are able to come to this event, it is time well spent and will help make the year go by more smoothly.

Mind Up Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum

This week in MindUP, students are learning about mindful awareness. This lesson focuses on teaching students to focus on one thing at a time and be mindful listeners. (For more information on our curriculum visit Mind Up.)

PBIS App

If you are still not connected to the Parent PBIS app, please let your teacher know. The most frequently encountered issues when parents are having difficulty connecting are downloading the wrong app or the wrong version of the app. Parents must use the Parent app, not the Staff app. The other issue, is having the QR code printed with faded ink or other printing issues. Most of these are easy to resolve. If your teacher cannot help you, please stop by the office for further assistance.

Since this will also be our communication tool for infractions/referrals and eventually, we will be linking to a reward system for points it is important to be connected.

Reminder: Volunteers and lunch visits will start at the end of September.

Thank you...

Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback to improve our car line. Every year is different. This year, our lines work best with only two grades dismissing up front and they seem to be moving much more swiftly. Please remind your child to stand up and go to their number the first time they hear their name. Also, remind them that because we have rotating dismissal teams, they might not always pronounce their names 100% accurately.

Early Dismissal and Transportation Changes

●If your student needs to have a dismissal change email: OES.DismissalChanges@oasishs.org

●If a student needs to be picked up from the front office prior to dismissal time, they must be picked up before to 2:45. No dismissals will be made after this time.
