Miss Sullivan's Weekly News
Boosterthon is in full swing!
Dear Families,
It has been a fast and fun week. Earlier this week, the High School theatre class treated us to the musical version of the much loved children's book, Flat Stanley! They did an outstanding job. Our audience was wonderful. They showed off their AES manners in the best way!
We are also right in the middle of Boosterthon and having such fun with our daily huddles and nightly challenges. Keep up the good work helping your child get pledges. What a fun way to support our school… and no cookies to store and deliver! The kids are learning about good character traits from our Boosterthon team.
In math, we are still dividing like crazy. From partial quotients to traditional long division, I see a great deal of growth each week. Please continue to practice those math facts.
In science, our common assessment showed that we really understand Earth Science well. We did a very fun water cycle activity. We pretended to be a drop of water and followed that drop through an interesting journey. We will use those journeys as a framework for writing in a couple of weeks.
I’ll be scheduling conferences for next week. Since students are out of school Friday afternoon, I would like to do them at that time. If you are not available then, just let me know what works for you. I am looking forward to visiting with you.
I am loving your sweet children. I look forward to seeing them each day. They work hard and are eager to learn. That makes teaching so much fun! Thanks for sharing them with me!
Have a great weekend!

Parents,
Thank you again for supporting our school through the Acton El Fun Run!
This weekend we are issuing a special challenge. Visit funrun.com to see the bonus prize your child can earn simply by getting a pledge this weekend only.
And if you’re looking for an easy way to ask for a pledge, upload a photo of your student to funrun.com to personalize their own Student Star video. It’s a fun movie trailer starring your child! You can share it on email or social media to ask for a pledge.
Thank you again for helping our class.
