January 20-26, 2015
What's happening?
AMS sets learning in action! See what the buzz is all about. Below are some things that happened just last week at AMS!
Google Forms in Action
Mr. Smith uses Google forms to collect formative assessment data from his students. To hear from Mr. Smith on how and why he used Google Forms to collect data for formative assessment, check out his Tech TidBit here!
Lunch with a Board Member
AMS welcomed Jennifer Manville, ACS board member, on Friday, January 16. Lunch topics ranged from community events to the upcoming tax vote on the ACS Capital Plan. Pictured here is board member Jennifer Manville, technology teacher Christy Hubbard, English teacher Jennifer Whitt, and library media specialist Jenny Johnstone.
"I Have a Dream"
AMS welcomed Mr. Chris Bledsoe on Friday, January 16, for a dramatic reading of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. Science teacher Ashley Randolph scheduled this visit in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of the speech and how it is applicable to students today. Students also were able to observe a speech as it applies to the CCRS speaking & listening standards.
