A Note From Mrs. Mathe
This week, we hosted our first PTO meeting of the year and there was a great turn out! We are grateful for all our volunteers and excited to work alongside our parent volunteers to make this the best school year yet! Thank you for giving your time to support our school.

Free and Reduced Breakfast and Lunch
Meals will no longer be free for all students for the 2022-2023 school year.
- Federal waivers providing free meals for all students the last 2 years have now expired
- Parents must complete an application for students to be eligible for free or reduced meals
- The online free and reduced application is OPEN NOW www.myschoolapps.com

Do you want to recognize an AWESOME Powell teacher? If so, follow the steps below:
- Log in to Parent Access.
- Click on communication.
- Choose Staff/Teacher excellence from the drop down menu.
- Select the employee to receive recognition from the drop down menu.
- Click create TAE.
- Click any of the pre-populated choices that apply.
- Type any additional comments in the Additional Comment box.
- Click the box labeled Create Teachers Achieving Excellence button.
- Done!

If your child brings these items to school, please speak with them about these expectations.
Also, parents, please do not call or text your children during the school day. If an emergency arises, please call the front office and will will assist in getting the message to your child.
Concerned Community Members
Below is a short video regarding our car rider line. Typically, we finish dismissing car riders in 20 minutes. The car line is a safe option for families that do not receive bus service or do not wish to utilize bus service.
We all would appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a safe and orderly dismissal daily at Powell. Thank you!
