21st Century Scholars Program Presentation
Information about 21st Century Scholars will be presented to 8th grade students on Friday, December 4th during their Enrichment hour. The 21st Century Scholars Program provides income-eligible students the opportunity to earn a scholarship that covers up to four years of tuition and regularly assessed fees. Through the completion of various tasks throughout high school and college, the program supports students and families by providing them the tools they need to prepare for college, graduate on time, and start toward a successful career path. The deadline to enroll online in this valuable program is June 30, 2021, for 8th graders. Even if you do not meet income eligibility requirements at the moment or are not exactly sure if college is something your son or daughter wants to do, it is still HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you enroll in the program and have your son or daughter complete the tasks...you never know what the future might bring! Please check out the presentation below for more information.
Lockers
Students can find their locker numbers and combinations in their Skyward account. After logging into Skyward they should open Student Access and then click on Student Information.
7/8 Kiwanis LPMS Builders Club:
- Builders Club would like to thank all the amazing students, staff, and parents who helped in donating various items and shoeboxes for our Operation Christmas Child event the last two weeks! Our goal was to achieve 15 to 20 boxes to send overseas to children in need, and with all of your amazing help, we accomplished 32 BOXES!!!
- Meetings: Meetings will be recorded by Ms. Workman and Ms. Vincent and posted to the Builders Club Canvas Page for all announcements, events, sign-ups, and other information, rather than having a live Zoom - this way students can access it whenever they are able.
Events:
- Builders Club is Ringing Bells for the Salvation Army from 3 to 5 PM at the Post Office on Wednesday, Dec. 9, and Wednesday, Dec. 16. Sign-Ups for this event will be announced on the Builders Club Canvas page when they are posted.
Please email Ms. Jamie Vincent (jvincent@lpcsc.k12.in.us) or Ms. Mikayla Workman (mworkman@lpcsc.k12.in.us) if you have any questions.
Student Council
On 11/18/2020, your kettle shift raised $81.68 for The Salvation Army programs and services.
Every dollar you helped collect will fuel critical services for individuals and families in need through assistance programs, disaster relief efforts and so much more. Visit salvationarmy.org to read about the help available in your community.
We hope you’ll consider signing up for another shift and share the joy of bell ringing with family and friends who are looking for ways to serve their communities!
Thank you for Doing the Most Good.
Merry Christmas and God bless you,
Director of Volunteer Services
The Salvation Army

Yearbook Information
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) at Home
FAMILIES/PARENTS of K-8 students please be informed that during these times
of uncertainty and challenges, together you and LPCSC can equip our children with the skills needed to encourage their social emotional well-being! As your child’s first teacher, you are instrumental in actively supporting your child’s social and emotional learning (SEL) through the Second Step curriculum’s Home Link (grades K-5) or ParentTeenConnect.org (grades 6-8)! You can learn how to access Second Step resources through watching a short video, "SEL at Home." This video can be found through either the LPCSC Family Resource Services Facebook page or your child’s school website. Below is the "SEL at Home" video link address:
https://www.loom.com/share/92b0ce5e3ecc4f66abe85e6468a0e0a4?utm_medium=gif
Second Step Home Link and ParentTeenConnect.org are FREE valuable resources for parents in helping to build a partnership between home and school, making your child’s social emotional well-being a priority. If you would like more information on the Second Step parent resource tool, you can contact: Austyn Kelso at akelso@lpcsc.k12.in.us.
In November, LPCSC will be asking you for your feedback through a Parent SEL Survey on how you view the Second Step program and its resources. Your completion of the Parent SEL Survey, which you will receive through email, well help LPCSC know how to best serve families/parents through Second Step. Thank you for joining LPCSC in supporting your child’s social emotional well-being.
Help With Homework Program:
Once school resumes again, so will the Help With Homework Program. If we do not have school, there is no program after school. The program is only in session on Tuesdays and Wednesdays that students are in the building.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays (if in-person school is in session) from 2:35 to 4PM.
Students will sign-up for each day each week using the link on the 7th and 8th Grade Canvas Page.
Please email Ms. Jamie Vincent (jvincent@lpcsc.k12.in.us) or Ms. Mikayla Workman (mworkman@lpcsc.k12.in.us) if you have any questions.
Box Tops for Education
Don't forget that your Box Tops can help raise funds for our school! Please see the link below for details on how to submit them. As you can see, we have not earned anything yet!
