A Note from the Principal
Dear SPB Families,
February 4 is quickly approaching, and we ask that K-8 families complete registration/enrollment as soon as possible. If your family is not planning to return, please make the school office aware of your decision. It is imperative that we have enrollment numbers so that we can plan accordingly for staffing for next school year. Congratulations to the Ross family who were the lucky winners of $100 in Schoolbelles gift certificates! Thank you to the many families who have submitted their registrations already.
If you are interested in preschool for your child, PLEASE SUBMIT REGISTRATION TODAY. Space in certain classes is very limited, and we are pleased to announce that two classes are nearly full. We want to make sure you do not get closed out of the class that you prefer. Remember, your registration is not considered complete until the registration fee is received. Tonight our Preschool Open House will be held, and we will open registration to outside families. We currently have 50+ families signed up to attend the event so we expect that some classes will be filled this evening.
Finally, Sunday kicks off Catholic Schools Week 2022. Join us for Mass on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. followed by our Open House from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you know of someone looking for a quality Catholic education and a welcoming community, please invite them to our Open House. We will celebrate our students on Monday with a dress down day, Bingo, and student raffles.
Peace and blessings,
Diane Raguz, Principal
Report Cards Available Online
Second quarter report cards have been published as of today. You have the ability to access grades and print a report card to keep for yourself. Directions for accessing report cards can be found below. Please note that there are two pages to the report cards. You don't want to miss the second page which includes teacher comments. We will send a hard copy of report cards at the end of the school year only.
You may access your child’s final grades for the quarter on Gradelink following these directions:
- Log into Gradelink.
- Click on the Grades tab on the left hand side.
- The option to download the report card will appear on the right side of the screen. You can then download it to view or print.
Enroll Me FAQS
Q: I don't believe I have a log in for Gradelink; how can I get one?
A: Email or call the school office and we will email it to you.
Q: Where can I find the "Re-enroll" tab?
A: Once you log into Gradelink, the "Re-enroll" tab appears along the left side. If it does not appear, be sure you are logged in under your parent account rather than the student account. Also, you must use a desktop or laptop device to complete the process; the mobile app will not allow re-enrollment.
Q: Once clicking on "Submit," are parents able to access the information to edit or to print documents?
A: If you believe you made an error, please email the school office and we will review the submitted information and make changes for you. Printing of documents is not an option in the system for parents at this time.
Q: Is my child's (grades 1-8) enrollment complete once I click on "Submit?"
A: Enrollment is not considered complete until the $225 registration fee is received by the office.
Q: Is my kindergartener's enrollment complete once I click on "Submit?"
A: The enrollment process is complete once you submit the $225 registration fee; however, all incoming kindergarteners must go through kindergarten screening before final acceptance.
Q: Is my preschooler's enrollment complete once I click on "Submit?"
A: The application process is complete once you submit the registration fee for the particular program in which you are interested; however, your enrollment is not complete until you receive an official acceptance (a hard copy) from the school office.
Q: Can I send one registration check for my preschooler and my K-8 students?
A: Please send one check for all students in K-8, and a separate check for preschool. You may submit them in the same envelope, but put the student name/s on each check.
Q: What if I change my mind about my tuition payment plan after submitting my enrollment?
A: Please email the school office and we will make changes for you.
Q: I have a new student to enroll at SPB; how do I add them?
A: Existing families that have children already in the school can add other children not currently enrolled. Because they are enrolling a new student, they will need to create a temporary registration account for registering the new student as the information for the new student is not yet in Gradelink. This is the same process that prospective families go through when enrolling their children. Keep in mind that the login credentials used to log into their Parent Portal will not work here.
Parents will log-in to their Parent Portal using their Gradelink login username and password.
They will then click the Re-Enroll tab on the left sidebar.
They will click the Have a new student to enroll? link at the top right of the page.
They will then follow the steps outlined in Enrolling a New Student.
More Catholic Schools Week Information:
We will be Celebrating our Nation during Catholic Schools Week on Thursday, February 3. One way we would like to do this is by honoring our active military members during morning prayer.
Please send us the names of friends or family members who are currently serving our country in the United States Armed Forces so that we can honor them. Our broadcast booth announcers will read these names during prayer, and we will also have them displayed on our green screen.
Names can be sent to Mrs. Klepcyk at sklepcyk@saintpaschal.com by Monday, January 31.
Thank you!
Scholastic Book Fair is Coming Soon!
Dear Parents and Families:
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair. Hosted by our staff, this event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our spring Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from February 7-11 in the Jansky Learning Center.
Our Book Fair offers eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Simply create a free account to add funds and/or invite family and friends to contribute so your child can select their own books. Any unused funds can be spent at The Scholastic Store Online or to fund a future eWallet.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Your online orders will also benefit our school.
Visit our Book Fair homepage to learn more and get started with eWallet and online shopping:

Conversations with Your Child About Social Media
Social media use comes with both benefits and risks. Having conversations with youth about their behavior online is important to their overall well-being and safety. This resource provides parents and families with information about helping youth stay safe and practice appropriate behavior online. Parents and adults can use these helpful tips when starting a conversation with youth about social media use, including participation in social media challenges, and support them in healthy decision making.

Playground Volunteers Needed-Grades 4, 3, 2
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:15 am-12:50 pm. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:10 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting the students to and from the school doors. Volunteers will be with one school staff member each day to help direct.
Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
COVID-19 Volunteer Protocol: all recess volunteers are required to wear a mask when in the building.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the following links to sign up: Grade 4. Grade 3, Grade 2
