Amanda DeFelice Mrs. DeFelice is committed to the individual growth and development of each of her students and it is truly remarkable. She has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure that ALL of her students not only understands the subject matter but also feels confident in their abilities. Mrs. DeFelice’s willingness to provide extra guidance and support whenever needed has not gone unnoticed. Her passion for teaching shines through in every lesson. The enthusiasm with which she approaches each topic has ignited a genuine love for learning in Lilly. She often talks about how your excitement for the subject matter makes it all the more interesting and enjoyable for her. Mrs. DeFelice’s willingness to go the extra mile is evident in numerous instances. Whether it's taking extra time to post assignments on the class plan, on the k12 dashboard, even on a self made calendar, linking additional resources to help all students excel wherever they are, or simply being available for guidance and encouragement, she consistently exceeds our expectations. We are fortunate to have her as Lilly’s ELA teacher for two years in a row, and we look forward to the continued growth and inspiration you will provide in the future. Brandon Bird Mr. Bird was my brothers science teacher last year. He went above and beyond to make his class exciting between wearing crazy glasses during spirit week to allowing the kids to just be themselves. My brother looked forward to his class every single day and wish it would have lasted longer. I found myself also really looking forward and enjoying Mr. Bird's class. Mr. Bird would allow the students to come over the mic and talk about things they thought were interesting or ask random questions such as artificial life and never turned away their curiosity. He would answer to the best of his ability and when he was unsure, he would get back to the kids the next day with information. At the end of the school year this previous year, my brother sent an email to Mr. Bird stating how much he is going to miss his class and wish that he could have him again next year. Mr. Bird was kind enough to reach back out and tell my brother that he could message him whenever he felt like even to just say hello. I feel as if Mr. Bird was a true factor to my brother's transition from regular public school to agora cyber. He truly has a personality that makes everyone feel welcomed in his class. ~R-E-onna C

Carmen Myers Although she was my son’s teacher last year she still takes a few minutes out of her busy day once in awhile to get on and talk to him and see how he’s doing. David Furka From my son Saadiq very first day at Agora, Dr. Furka made me and Saadiq feel very welcome and apart of the Agora family. Coming from public school I didn't know what to expect doing an online autism support class. However David created a great teacher parent relationship. He is very passionate about making sure the children understand what he is teaching, and also very understanding when Saadiq or any of the children are having a rough day. I love all of the staff that helps Saadiq but I must give a special thank you to Dr. Furka. We will miss him when Saadiq moves on to high school. She's passionate and dedicated to supporting all of her students, ensuring everyone is always up to speed and doing their best. She always gives credit and recognition. Laura Logan Mrs. Logan was my sons 2nd grade teacher, they wrote letters all summer, she encouraged him to enter their spelling bee last year even though he said he wasn't interested. He entered and won the entire grade bee! She called before and after the competition to say how proud she was and that she believed in him and we really appreciated how wonderful she was! Laurie Pastin While I have enjoyed my 12 years in Agora and find that there are so many Teachers who stand out in my mind, there is one in particular that also held a special place in my heart. Mrs. Lauri Pastin. She also helped my brother Daniel and at first we both thought, this is a very tough teacher, but then both of us quickly realized, her toughness was teaching us, it was her love and care for her students. I watched my math grade go from an F to an A because of Mrs. Pastin's dedication and care given to me. She not only cares for her student's but cares for their family as well. If I could have Mrs. Pastin for my college years I'd be getting even more amazing grades. Lynette Meinig

• Ms. M has gone above and beyond. We came from Oregon and the experience was completely different. Ms. M is very humble and helpful in so many ways I can't even count in such a small time of having communication with her she has been able to help us get more help then I dreamed of. My daughter has already excelled in so much since we began with Agora. We are also getting more help as each day passes. The resource availability has been exceptional! I have said thank you many times. The amount of gratitude I have for her I cannot describe. I say she goes the extra 1000 miles. She says it's just her job. • Since our first day joining the Agora family, Miss Lynnette has welcomed our family. My son was so anxious to learn in a new environment and with new teachers and staff. Lynnette was warm and kind, which made him feel at ease. Any concerns that I have had, she has addressed immediately. She is always willing to communicate with me about concerns whether it is a quick call or hopping on Zoom. Rebecca Kara Kara deserves to be thanked because she goes over and beyond to teach, help, and support her kids. She called with concerns about my son. We talked and we agreed on some strategies. We left our call on the same page. She helped me see a little better in terms of how I am a learning coach to my son and I don't have care the load alone. I can reach out when there is difficulty to complete something instead of worrying and stressing about how to get it done in a timely manner when my son doesn't move quickly. She is understanding and accommodating. She reminds me of why I decided to keep my son at Agora. Shari Widlund Shari has been invested in helping my daughter Madison from the start. When we encountered a very hard trial with Madison last year- Shari was there with words of encouragement, an ear to listen and provisions to help Madison. Shari carefully works out Maddy’s IEP and is attentive to seeing to any changes that are needed. She is always a voice of care and is committed to helping children with IEP’s succeed. ~Brenda J

Aimee Diehl

• l feel Aimee is the best family coach ever she always there to help me with whatever concern I have as far as the school. The materials and even encourage me to take my children on the school trips, which is something I’ve never done since the day my children started. I feel Aimee has gone above and beyond to make sure my agora students had everything they need to be able to attend school everyday. She is very patient and sweet but serious at the same time. She will also let the kids know when they are messing up and need to stay focus in school. She has assisted me with help every time I needed it and didn’t stop until any arising issue was resolved in the best way it could be. Aimee always stay in contact and never acted as if my kids didn’t matter and she was here just to get a check. • After having some issues with our living situation Chad not only called to check on us numerous times, he offered to help us find numerous resources such as food, shelter and internet. • I have had the pleasure of having Chad as our family coach from the beginning. He makes sure we are up to date on what's going on with the school, the activities & where or whom we need to talk to about any issues he can't help with. (Not many) From the beginning he made my child feel understood & comfortable. He went above when he came to our home to administer important exams we were unable to go to in person. Especially this year we had many issues with new system and with sapphire and was the only one who was able to help even after we contacted support. This year she is our coach for both of our boys.
