March Newsletter
From the counselor's office
Greetings
Hi Salem families,
With many new additions to our track 2 classes, we are excited to enter into the final stretch of the year. Salem Salamanders are busy learning new concepts and reviewing the old, and it is truly amazing to see students collaborate to grow into a stronger learner. Thank you always for keeping up with the counseling department and taking your time to read the flyer!
Cool It!
2nd graders have been learning about how to follow rules appropriately and come up with a "Cool It" statement. On a paper ice cube, each student wrote down what they can say to "cool down" their behavior. Enlarge the picture and check them out!
Middle School Registration
Rising 6th graders will be taking one of these folders home with them soon and two forms have to be signed and returned to school. We are almost done. Thank you for your continued support!
Kind Words Matter!
To celebrate the National School Social Worker Week, Mrs. Steadman visited students during Town Meetings to educate students about her role and how kind words are important in our relationships. She demonstrated the power of words by using a big heart and how words can make our hearts hurt and it is difficult to fix the broken heart.
Have you heard of Growth Mindset? Check out this link and find out which mindset you have.
