Texas Council for the Social Studies is offering $2,000 Student Scholarship for students interested in majoring in a social studies discipline.

News from The WHS Blue Belles
Junior Blue Belle Captain, Sophie Pasternak was named a Finalist for the Texas Dance Educators Association All State Dance Team scholarship. The All State Dance Team is comprised of over 200 Captains from all over the state. Only five finalists were selected. Sophie is guaranteed a scholarship and will interview on Wednesday, January 6th to find out the amount of scholarship she will receive. Sophie motivates and leads the Belles on the dance floor, as well as in the classroom. We are so proud!
WHS Band Students Earn Spots in the All-Region Band
Thirty seven Fightin' Roo Band students won a spot in the all-region band (last year 26 students made a spot in the band).
23 students will be traveling to Midland, TX to audition for a spot in the All-State Band on January 8th and 9th in Midland, TX (last year 19 students advanced to the area round).
