****Things to Celebrate @ BHS!****

Upcycling Projects in Honors Earth Science

Mrs. Dobbins' Honors Earth Science students completed Upcycling Projects and Presentations. The goal of the project was to take something that would be considered "trash" and turn it into a new, improved item. They created a presentation to go along with the project about the natural resources being conserved, the amount of energy conserved, and their recommendation of what to do with this resource in the future. They all determined upcycling or recycling the material is best for our planet, and we should try to mitigate the amount of materials going to our landfills. Here are some of their submissions including: a guitar case turned into a jewelry holder, a tool organizer made out of glass spaghetti jars, bird houses made out of old pallets and scrap wood, a hat rack, a chicken coop, and a side table made out of old skateboards.
