President's Corner by Cree Sanford
Our Terrific Third Graders had a fabulous performance this past Tuesday night!! If you were able to see it, you know how incredibly talented our Copeland Colts are. They really moved the crowd with their impromptu acapella rendition of Don't Worry Be Happy! Way to go Third Graders!!!
A BIG thank you goes out to LaToi Gillyard and her crew of volunteers for all of their hard work with our Music program. These ladies did a wonderful job creating the set, helping kids with their lines, adjusting costumes and props and putting it all together. I know Mrs. Vigil and the kids really appreciated all of their help. We are blessed with a wonderful music chairperson, fantastic helpers and terrific teachers and staff at Copeland!
We are doing something new and exciting this Saturday....the time has finally come for the Father/Daughter dance!!! It will be from 4pm -6pm. Volunteer Opportunities
We need volunteers and helpers year round and there are plenty of opportunities. You can learn about SRC (Science Resource Center), which is an excellent resource not only for the students, but for parents too. If you are able to volunteer for this, I promise you will learn something too! Please contact our SRC Chair Selina Sauceda at selina.sauceda@gmail.com for more info.
The library always needs volunteers, as do art and music. Please let me know if you want more information.
If you have any questions or comments regarding our VIPS program or would like to volunteer, please contact me at 713-829-0638 or mmcgah@gmail.com.
