A family Newsletter: Week of September 12th

What a fun week!!!

It has sure been a busy week with a lot of fun learning going on!! It was so wonderful seeing so many grandparents come in to eat lunch with our students and then visit the Book Fair and Spirit Shop!

Our fundraiser kicked off on Thursday morning with a short Pep-Rally! Your student should have brought home a permission slip for you to sign to get their first box of chocolate and cookies! Thanks for your support!! The brochure is included again below in case your child misplaces it.

Congratulations to all the students who made the All City Choir! The list will be posted on the 4th and 5th grade music Canvas this evening!

Enjoy your long weekend and the extra time with your kids on Monday!!

Golden Nuggets from the Counselor

The NED Show!!

The NED show is coming to Baxter. Mark you calendars- Monday October 23rd at 1:30. This is a whole school assembly. This is also the beginning of Red Ribbon Week.

The Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you so much to everyone who came and volunteered!! It's so wonderful to see the kids so excited for reading!!

A Quick Note from Nurse Martin

Starting September 12 I will be doing hearing and vision screenings for PK, K, 1, 3, and 5th grades. If your child wears glasses, please be sure they are wearing them and bringing them to school, especially for screenings. If your child does not pass the initial screening they will be re-screened 2-3 weeks after their initial screening. You will only be contacted if your child does not pass the re-screen and needs a physician referral this will be around mid-late October.
