Reeceville Elementary School
Monday Morning Message: June 1, 2021
End of the Year Events
As the school year draws to a close, we are excited to begin returning to a level of normalcy. To this end, schools are in the process of planning end of year events for our students such as field day/fun day. As a safety precaution and, out of an abundance of caution, this year we will not have spectators to limit the number of people at these events.
In the past, events such as these have been supported by volunteers for which we are grateful. If there is a need for volunteers, schools will determine the number needed to support their events. To remain consistent with our health and safety plan, we will require that masks be worn, irrespective of vaccination status. This is our current practice which will continue through the end of the school year.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to the remaining weeks of the school year.
Alice in Wonderland-June 3 and 4
Any virtual student who will be attending the field trip must hand in a permission slip. Virtual students must be dropped off at Reeceville at 9:15 for our 9:30 departure. Any student who comes to Reeceville after 9:30 will not be able to stay. Virtual students will join their homerooms and walk over to North Brandywine with their teachers and will return to Reeceville after the production is over. Students should be picked up by 11 am.
Any virtual fifth grader may stay for the entire day for the fifth grade picnic and the personal hygiene presentation. Fifth grade students will be picked up at the back of the building at 3:45 in the car pick up line.
Field Day-Tuesday, June 8
Virtual students may attend field day and will be participating with their homerooms. Please make sure to let your child's teacher know if your child will be attending.
Fifth Grade Events
Fifth Grade Picnic-June 4th
On Friday, June 4, fifth graders will be outside for a fun day with games and snacks. This event will take place from 1:30-3:00 and is for students only.
Personal Hygiene Presentation-June 4th
On Friday, June 4th at 3:00 pm, all fifth graders will participate in the personal hygiene presentation.
Fifth Grade Promotion Parade-June 10th
We will be celebrating our fifth grade students with our Fifth Grade Promotion Parade on Thursday, June 10. Fifth grade teachers will be communicating more details. We are asking that families do not line up for the parade before 9:30 am because of school's arrival time. Also, we are asking that siblings remain in school with their classes to cheer on all fifth grade students as they travel through the parade.
