Write your Name on Your Things
This is much easier if the items have the owner's name on them.
Please label water bottles, lunch bags, coats, jackets, backpacks and every other item that may be left somewhere and you would like to have back.
We Need to Know About Absences and Late Arrivals
- If your student will be absent, please call the Office at 317-915-4270 and leave a message.
- If your student will be late, please call the Office at 317-915-4270 and leave a message.
- If you have travel plans, doctor appointments, or other absences to schedule, please call the Office at 317-915-4270 and leave a message.
- You can also email the attendance secretary - azjones@hse.k12.in.us - to report the absence.
- You can enter an exception in School Dismissal Manager as absent, and please add a reason for the absence.
We need to hear from every student who is not at school or will be late, every single time.
If I don't hear from you, I will be calling or emailing or texting you to find out why your student is not in school. It is my job to track every student, every day!
Thanks for helping to make my job easier.
Masks are still Required
Also, please send a spare or 3 in their backpack.
- Students throw masks away, chew on them, break them, sneeze in them, and leave them behind at recess more often than you realize.
- The Office has a very limited supply to offer.
- Please be sure your students are prepared for school with a mask on and with spares in their backpacks.
The Clinic is Low on Clothes!
Our wonderful nurse, Mrs. Cline, requests that every student have a change of clothes, including socks and underclothes, in their backpack or stored in their locker, every day!
Mud, spills, and accidents can happen to any student.
Please plan ahead!
The Clinic is in need of clothing donations.
We are low on comfortable, neutral clothing that your child can borrow if they land in mud, spill their applesauce, or have another type of accident. If your child comes home in borrowed clothing, please wash and return it as soon as possible.

Volunteering and Chaperoning
- All volunteers are required to wear a mask during school hours, regardless of vaccination status.
- All volunteers are required to have a current background check on file.
Call Sand Creek at 317-915-4270 to find out if your background check is current.
Check the Visiting and Volunteering page on SCE's website to submit a background check.

If you are interested in collaborating with me on this project, please let me know!
You can either email me: jjacks@hse.k12.in.us or call me: (317) 915-4270.
