Progress Reports
Progress Report Qtr #3 TIme line issued by DOT is as follows:
- 2/28 - Specialists must be locked down by 5pm
- 3/2 - Homeroom teachers must have grades locked down by 5pm
- 3/2 - Email names of children who need a progress report to Carolyne (after your lock down)
- 3/4 - Progress report emailed home by Carolyne
** Progress reports must be issued only to those in academic need (receiving a DP or N); however, they may be issued to the whole class if you desire. ** Please note: HOMEROOM TEACHERS: You can not transfer grades until after the specialist deadline. (Doing so beforehand will result in the specialist grades not being captured in the progress reports.) Thanks for all you do! I appreciate you!
The Report Card Qtr # 3 timeline as issued by DOT is as follows:
- 3/27 - Specialists Locks down by 5pm
- 3/30 - HR Teacher locks down by 5pm
- 3/31 - Teachers will receive report cards to proof
- 4/1 - Report cards due back to Carolyne (corrections made) by 5pm
- 4/3 - Report cards go home
Transfer Procedures for 2020-2021 - Note the Date Change for Transfer Meet & Greet!
- Wednesday, February 5 - Registration opens for the Transfer Meet and Greet event using Frontline Professional Growth, and vacancies begin to be posted on Intranet for all transfers.
- Thursday, February 13 - Principals must notify individuals that they are priority transfers
- Monday, February 24 - Online registration deadline for the Transfer Meet and Greet event for all voluntary and priority transfers who wish to attend.
- Monday, March 16th (NEW DATE)- Transfer Meet and Greet event at Green Run HS from 4:30-5:45 p.m.
- May 1st - Target date by which priority transfers are notified of placements
- June 30th - Last date by which principals can make hiring recommendations from other area school divisions.
- July 15th - Last date teachers may voluntarily transfer

Family and Student Wellness Expo
Virginia Beach City Public Schools, in partnership with the VB Strong Center, is excited to host the inaugural Family and Student Wellness Expo Saturday, March 14, at Landstown High School from 9 a.m. to noon. This event is designed to connect students, their families and the community with organizations supporting physical and mental health. Breakout sessions will be available to attend at 10 and 11 a.m. on a variety of topics related to mental wellness, including, building resilient families, embracing mental health, recognizing the impact of our words, ensuring self-care and more.
