SAT- Class of 2021- October 14
The State SAT for current seniors will be Wednesday Oct. 14th. The state is using this to make up for the missed April School Day testing. Please be at HHS at 7:30am and report to your testing room by 7:40am.
Items to bring:
2 Non-mechanical pencils
Calculator
Dress in layers in case testing room is cold
Do not bring-
Cellphone; apple watch, fitbit or other electronic watch- these will be collected and stored outside the testing room for security purposes.
FAFSA Available Now
The FAFSA requires students and parents to each complete a portion.
What you need to complete your FAFSA:
-Social Security Number
-Your Alien Registration Number, if you (student) are not a US Citizen
-Your 2019 federal tax returns, W-2's and other records of income
- Banking statements and records of investments (if applicable)
-Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- List of colleges.
The earlier you complete your FAFSA the earlier you will get award letters from the colleges regarding grants, loans and work study. This info can help you make your college decision. Listing a college on your FAFSA does not mean you have applied there. Be sure to complete each School's application as well.
Students in the Class of 2021 must complete the FAFSA or a nonparticipation form.
NCAA DI or DII Eligibility
Students that wish to participate in college athletics at an NCAA Division I or II school need to register with the eligibility center. It does cost $90 fee waivers are available for students on free/reduced lunch. See your school counselor for more info.
Transcripts for NCAA can be requested through your parchment account.
Virtual College Fair Info
- Registration opens Aug. 24th online at https://www.iacac.org/virtual-college-exploration/students/
- Look at the online schedule and use the Purple "Student Registration" to register for topics and colleges you want more info about.
- Learn about different colleges, choosing a major, scholarship opportunities and more

NACAC Virtual College Fair
- Monday October 12th

- Select which colleges you want to learn about sign up to attend their live and interactive sessions. Info about applications, financial aid, student life and more.

Grades
Quarter 1 ends on Oct. 8th
Parents can access grades at anytime via PowerSchool. Please contact the office if you need help setting up your PowerSchool account.
If your student is struggling they should contact their teacher during Homeroom for additional support. If you are interested in hiring a tutor, please contact a school counselor for our updated list.
