Perseverance
People have different definitions of Perseverance. Mine is to never give up during hard times even when you're going through adversity. A lot of people go through adversity everyday and they always persevere because they still have a purpose in life. People could get hurt, they could get an awful grade, or have a fight with their family or friends but no matter what, people persevere because they can. Everybody has a choice and they choose to persevere.
How Jackie Robinson faced Adversity
One example of Perseverance is Jackie Robinson. Jackie Robinson triumphed through an adversity. He was a black baseball player and made everyone think he could do a lot better than any all white team combined. Nobody had any faith in him because he was black and not white. People would be screaming at the coach because they let a black player play. Nobody cared if his team won, they would be mad that a black player was playing. Nobody wanted him to play but he didn’t care what anybody else thought, he just did what he wanted to and didn’t let anybody stop him. His team and his coach were the only ones that helped him through the adversities and wanted him to play. They didn’t care if he was black; they didn’t care about the skin colors of their teammates because they were a team and a teams work together, no matter what. His family, team, and coaches all helped him get better no matter what.
