3 Tips for Surviving Finals Week
Don't Pull an All Nighter!
Pulling an all-nighter is one of the worst things that you can do before a test besides actually sleeping through the test! Fatigued brains do not retain information, nor do they recall it well.
Silence Your Social Media Accounts
Continuously checking your social media accounts during cram sessions can of course lead to a crucial loss of study time, but it can also train your brain to revert its attention after short amounts of time. Use your social media time as a reward for your hard work! Your friends will understand!
Eat Well!!
During finals week, you may be tempted to eat and drink whatever items are most convenient. However, the quick calories of processed carbohydrates will ultimately leave you exhausted. Instead, eat foods that are digested slowly: whole grains, fresh vegetables, and lean proteins. A little planning can go a long way as you head into finals week.
