Quoi de neuf à EPK?
Semaine du 17 au 21 juin, 2019
Prière de la semaine
In my Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2–3, NIV
Lord God, we thank you that you have upheld us and brought us to the Savior. Help us to remember this truth through your Holy Spirit, and constantly remind us while still on earth to live in heaven with all your angels. We are helpless without you. Your Spirit alone can overcome our sinful nature so that we never forget to be in heaven with the Savior now and in eternity. Amen.
A word from the principal
I just cannot believe that there are only 9 days left to this school year! It has gone by so quickly! We have accomplished so much and yet, there is still so much to do!
During the next two weeks, teachers will be working hard at wrapping up the school year and ensuring that the last outcomes of the curriculum have been seen. Some will go on field trips and others will be working on special projects. This is an exciting time of year for all our kids and many of them are anxious for the freedom and fun of the summer holidays. That being said, both teachers and students are tired, and rightly so. Please remember to maintain a good bedtime routine to ensure that your children get a enough sleep, and are still ready to pay attention and to make most of the time they have left at school.
We were hoping to have our sea cans at the school at this time, but there seems to be a hold up with Alberta Infrastructure and we are not sure when they will arrive. If they get here prior to the end of the school year, I will send a quick email to let you know when we will be moving things into them. We would certainly welcome some help!
This week, look into you children's backpack to find the school supplies lists for next fall. Staples is offering special pricing for parents from Elk Island Catholic Schools. If you choose to order the supplies through Staples, they will be delivered to the school at the end of August. You may also choose to get your school supplies from another retail store.
Have a wonderful week and God Bless,
Mme Lafrance
