A Message from the Principal
Hello Beech Families,
The weather is getting chilly and arrival has brought a need for jackets to be worn. Please help us move arrival quickly by having your child be in their jackets, have their back packs ready to go, and a mask on their face. If your child forgets a mask we will provide one for them. We do ask that you are intentional with ensuring they have one though as we would love to spend our resources on materials for the classrooms rather than purchasing additional masks.
Students have been brining in large bags of chips (hot and regular) and then trying to share them at lunch and in class. While we love that students are willing to share, food can not be shared at school. We don't know everyone's food allergies and we also want to ensure that clean hands are putting food in mouths. If you have been sending your child in with full size bags of chips we ask that you stop doing so. Thank you for helping us out with this.
We hope that your children had a fun time at our Halloween Parade today! Please see below for some of the pictures that we took during the event!
Enjoy your weekend and I wish you a safe trick or treating adventure!
Ms. Nickel
Upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences
Teachers will be reaching out to each of their classes to schedule conferences.
We will be holding conferences VIRTUALLY this entire school year (as will the rest of Redford Union Schools). Teachers will communicate how to sign-up and how to access the link for your conference meeting.
We will hold one evening and one afternoon of conferences. Please ensure that you sign up so that you can hear about all the amazing things your children have done so far this school year!

Early Pick-Up
Beginning Monday, September 20th, we will not be allowing early pick-up after 3:10. Please help us to be able to do our jobs and get to dismissal on time by following this expectation.
Student Birthday Celebrations
Beech does not allow for cupcakes, balloons, pizza, etc, to be brought in to celebrate student birthdays. We know that this could be disappointing for some children and for that we apologize. We have to monitor for food allergies and ensure that academic time is honored. Thank you for your support and understanding.
