Congratulations to Mrs. Green!

Congratulations to Mrs./ Coach Green!

On Tuesday, May 18th, Mrs. Green was named as the recipient of the Rainbow District School Board’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Co-Curricular Program.

This is a much deserved recognition of her commitment to our student athletes, the importance of student involvement in sport, leadership & healthy active living.

Under her leadership, LEP has the highest participation rate of Rainbow students involved in athletics! Mrs. Green is an active coach, who has led athletes to numerous regional and provincial championships.

As a Program Leader, Mrs. Green models community mindedness through organizing initiatives that support our community, such as NeoKids and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She models healthy active living and encourages all students to be active through our Physical Education programs, including intramural sports, yoga, and outdoor education.

Way to go, Coach!!

Spanish Class Experiential Learning!

Spanish Experience!

Senora Dupuis and her senior Spanish students have been learning all about the Spanish culture and language. Recently, they had a Zoom with EF Tours to discuss possible careers, including working in the tourism industry.

Of course, the first year Spanish students were excited to share their at-home Cinco de Mayo celebrations. Here are a few pictures!

FIRST Robotics Dean's List

The 2021 FIRST Provincial Championships were last weekend and LEP had some great results with our teams. The most notable is that Tyler Smith was selected as one of two candidates from across the province as a Dean's List finalist for his outstanding contribution to FIRST and his commitment to advancing STEM Education. He will now go on to compete on the world stage to be selected for the award. This is such an impressive feat, that Tyler's name will also be forwarded to several colleges/universities across North America!

Congratulations Tyler!
