Connect with Counselor Collins

May Newsletter, 2022

Hello there Line Creek Families,

We are nearing the home stretch for the end of the school year. It was a pleasure serving as your school counselor for another year. I hope you and your child(ren) benefited from counselor materials this year.

Also, please note that free meals for ALL students are discontinuing at the end of this school year. To qualify for free or reduced meals for 2022 summer school and the 2022-2023 school year, you must fill out a free/reduced application form. You may do so by stopping by our front office for a form OR clicking on the following to apply through the online registration form: you can apply by visiting: Information shared on the application is confidential.

I look forward to seeing some of your students during summer school and cannot wait to welcome everyone back in August. Be sure to do something this summer that makes you and your family happy!

Well Wishes!

~Mrs. Collins

Social Emotional Learning & Awareness:

  • As you go through this year and your child(ren) experiences big emotions, Park Hill has created a virtual relaxation room on our website for students to access anytime.
  • To learn more about creating a calming corner at home, read this article: "Setting up a Calming Corner at Home."
  • 5 Easy Calming Bottles You Can Make this Summer
  • Hot Chocolate Talk: Second Step has put together a public awareness campaign designed to help families navigate conversations about child sexual abuse. Their research-based how-to guides and free online resources teach simple, age-appropriate body safety rules and help families create a sense of warmth and comfort when talking about serious topics. All campaign materials are available in English and coming soon in Spanish.
