Note From the Principal
Dear West Shore Families,

Thank you for supporting our new morning drop off safety procedures. By allowing your child to independently walk to class, we can safely monitor adult visitors in the mornings and alleviate congested hallways. These new procedures will help tremendously in case of an emergency.
Our younger students are doing a fantastic job getting to class. You should be so proud!
Yours in Learning,
Mrs. Shaughnessy
ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Good attendance helps children do well in school and eventually in the workplace. Good attendance matters for school success, starting as early as prekindergarten and throughout elementary school. By middle and high school poor attendance is a leading indicator of dropout. Developing the habit of attendance prepares students for success.
DROP OFF & PICKUP REMINDERS
A.M. - When using the morning drop off lane, please pull ahead as far as possible past the front doors to allow more cars to enter the lane. Students may be released along the length of the lane. Once students are released, you may safely pull around and exit via the left lane. There are extra adult helpers to guide you and our students. A new blue safety line is in place to guide students walking to the front entrance doors.
P.M. - When using the afternoon pick-up lane, please follow safety protocols by pulling ahead, staying inside your vehicle, and driving slowly through the lane. Students must enter the vehicle on the passenger side and your name card must be visable. We are all doing the best we can to get our students to you quickly and safely. Thank you for your support.

From time to time there are extenuating circumstances. In those instances, Mrs. Shaughnessy will consider and/or approve alternate end of the day options.
