ATHLETIC RESULTS
9TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL
Freshmen Boys lost to Hurst on Tuesday 66-59.
Leading scorer on the night was Leyton Carr who had a season high 33 points. The Broncos play again Friday against Abilene @ BJH, 4:30 tip.
9TH GRADE GIRLS BASKETBALL
The Freshmen girls’ basketball team won a tough game Friday night beating South Grand Prairie 36-17.
It took a minute for us to settle in, but through the whole first half our full court press got the Warriors frustrated and forced several turn overs. The pressure was led by Christtalynn Tate, Makayla Hardy, Delanie Butler, and Emma Okruch. Claudia Valle had two awesome blocks in the game and the Warriors couldn’t catch up with our offensive fast breaks.
Our 9th grade Lady Broncos basketball team took down the Hurst Raiders Tuesday night by a score of 47-33.
We got out to a commanding lead 21-6 after the first quarter, and never looked back. With great defensive pressure and offensive speed our girls played great team ball. Nearly everyone scored & the win moved us to 4 in a row. The girls will take on district opponent Abilene Friday at 4:30 at Bell.
CROSS COUNTRY
Tuesday night The Bedford Cross Country Teams ran in the District Meet. The competition was fierce, but the 7th grade Boys A Team persevered and won the District Championship! The 7th Grade Boys B Team ran hard and placed 3rd in District.
Cameron Conrad took first place with Landyn Brown, Kolbe Fielder, and Lucas Case all finishing in the top 10.
The 8th Grade A Team ran hard all season, and this meet was no different with Jack Baker finishing in the top Ten.
Great Job to all Bronco Runners this season and congratulations to 7th Grade Boys A Team District Champs!!!
