A Message From the President

We are off to an amazing start. Our first official meeting on September 12, at Posado's Cafe in Jacksonville was a lot of fun. I enjoyed "catching up" and visiting with everyone. We were honored to have Kim Paetzel, our Area 1 Coordinator attend our first meeting.

Our current members are the most important part of our organization, and yet a growth mindset is important for our future. Please consider inviting someone to join our wonderful organization. DKG is not a secret society anymore. If they teach, they are eligible. Consider classroom teachers, music teachers, art teachers, tutors, teaching assistants, etc.

With that in mind, text your teaching buddy right now, or call up that teacher friend you have been thinking about. What about an inactive member? Perhaps they are ready to come back. Let's thrive in 2016-17!

Respectfully,

Alicia Tennison
