Winter Party

These families signed up to bring treats for our Winter Party on Wednesday, December 23rd:

If anyone else wants to send in a treat that day you are more than welcome to just let me know! If you can no longer do what you signed up for that is also not a problem, just let me know ASAP! Thanks for all your help!!

Holiday Concert

The Holiday Concert is on Thursday, December 17th @ 6:00pm. Students need to be there by 5:30pm. They should wear their best holiday clothes.


Boys:

button down shirt

tie (regular or bow)

dress pants if possible

no jeans please


Girls:

beautiful dresses

Skirts & tops

Dressy pant outfits

no jeans please

(yes, satin or velvet dresses are appropriate)

no high heels (we are on risers,

remember-safety first)

This Week in 1st Grade:

Math: We are working on subtracting from teen numbers.


Reading: We will be finishing up Main Idea and supporting details and starting Reader's Theater this week!


Writing: We are using pronouns in our writing instead of repeating names over and over again. We also are using our imaginations to write creative holiday stories.


Social Studies: We studying holidays from around the world until Winter Break. The holidays we are learning about are: The German Christmas, Las Posados, Hanukkah, and the Christmas in the US.
