From the Desk of Mr. Piger
Hello Cardinal Families,
The month of December in any school is always a time of excitement. As I walk around the halls of DHS and see the doors and hallways decorated with holiday decorations, it is evident to me that there is a positive atmosphere in the building. I hear this sentiment from many staff and students too. Every day at DHS, there are many things that I could talk about that make our school a special place, but ultimately it is the people in our building that create the positive climate. From the custodian, security officer, cafeteria worker, secretary, teacher, counselor, and administrator, we all believe that every student at DHS can be successful in school and in life. It is our goal that each student at DHS has at least one adult that they can connect with and talk to when needed to feel supported.
I hope you enjoy our winter newsletter. Should you ever need anything to support your student or your family, please let us know.
From our school family to yours,
Jerry Piger
Principal
