staar updates & reminders
On STAAR testing days, we will be moving students though the breakfast line and into classrooms quicker than normal. Any students left in the cafeteria at 7:50 will be sent with their food directly to class. Please help us during these days by dropping your child off earlier if they regularly eat breakfast.
NO VISITORS DURING STAAR TESTING
ACE will not be accepting visitors on our STAAR dates due to the need to maintain a safe, quiet testing environment. This means that we will not allow families to eat lunch with their kids on these dates. Please check our STAAR schedule below to see which days are testing days.

May 11: 5th Grade Testing
May 12: 4th Grade Testing
May 13: 5th Grade Testing
May 17: 3rd Grade Testing
May 18: 5th Grade Testing

Super Kids Day
Super Kids Day is Friday May 20th, and all grade levels will get to experience fun and games, including bounce houses, during the school day. It is always a lot of fun.
There are TWO things that can disqualify a student from Super Kids Day.
Persistent poor behavior- Our school has been issuing warnings to students and their respective families about this.
Not returning and/or paying for library books- We have a lot of library books out, and Mrs. Duncan has been sending emails about those. Books not cleared by Super Kids Day will result in kids not being able to participate. Please help us, and your students, by taking care of this now!
Medication Pickup May 23-27
All medication must be picked up by a parent/guardian PRIOR to the end of school on May 27th, 2022 or it will be discarded per district policy. No medication can be sent home with students. Please plan to pick up your student's medication anytime during the final week of school. All returns must be signed off by the RN and person picking up, so medication cannot be left at the desk for pick up. Health & Medication forms must be completed YEARLY. Forms for next year can be accepted if completed/signed after July 1st. These forms are district wide and can be used for any Humble ISD school. Please click the link below for the link to the district health forms page. Forms and medication for next year should be dropped off together by an ADULT at the start of next school year. Notes: The Medication Administration form may be printed multiple times. EACH medication must have a separate authorization form. (Example: If you will be leaving Benadryl, Epinephrine and an Inhaler in the clinic, you would need 3 copies of the Medication Authorization form) Have a great summer, Nurse Stringer
