Knox College Gubernatorial Candidates Forum
7-8 pm
Kresge Recital Hall
The candidates attending the forum are Daniel Biss, Bob Daiber, Tio Hardiman, and, representing J.B.Pritzker, Lieutenant Gubernatorial Candidate, Juliana Stratton. We have also invited Chris Kennedy.
We want to host this event because it will provide an opportunity for the candidates to address the concerns of voters outside of Chicagoland in the rust belt of western Illinois. Since President Trump was elected, Democrats have said that they want to focus more of their attention on the American rust belt, which has been radically altered by globalization. Additionally, Democrats have expressed their eagerness to address the concerns of young voters, especially college students. Therefore, the questions that will be answered at the forum will come from Galesburg area residents and Knox College students.
On Tuesday, January 16th at 8pm in the Trustees Room (ALUM 302), Panhellenic Council will be hosting our third Sorority Recruitment Information Session. This is an opportunity to get more information about going through recruitment before it happens! You'll also be able to meet and ask questions to members of our first sororities, which are Alpha Sigma Alpha, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Pi Beta Phi. All female-identifying students are welcome to join, even if it's your first term at Knox.

Milk Route, A Reading Series
7:30-10 pm
306 E. Simmons, The Space
Milk Route is the English Department’s student reading series held on occasional evenings throughout the year. An homage to Carl Sandburg, who at the age of thirteen left school to get a job driving a milk wagon so that he could assist in supporting his family, Milk Route honors the transitional period in which our senior writing majors may find themselves. While finishing their studies at Knox, they also are beginning their lives as adults, discovering new experiences in jobs, graduate programs and cities of residence. All the while, too, they are still making room to make their art.
Students and faculty gather for these formal readings, which offer senior writing majors an opportunity to share from their own work.
