Bio
Walter Elias "Walt" Disney was an American entrepreneur, cartoonist, animator, voice actor, and film producer. Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 5, 1901, the forth of Elias and Flora Disney's five children. Walt's Father, Elias', restlessness took him next to Chicago, where he worked as a carpenter, earning a dollar a day. Elias moved the family to a small farm house. Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966, at the age of 65. After his death, his brother carried on the plans to finish the Florida theme park, which opened 1971 under the name Walt Disney World.

Childhood
When Walt was younger his mother took great delight in the youthful innocence of her children, but his father always demanded more from his children. On hard times everybody always counted on Walt to lighten the mood, but his father could never catch the joke. When Walt was in high school he dreamed to be a cartoonist, but his father could never understand why, but still payed for Walt's extracurricular art classes at the Chicago academy of fine arts. But after the trouble he want through to get in to the academy, he decided to join the war, and his father disagreed and his mother said "The boy is determined, i would rather sign this and know where he is than him run off." For Walt's father, nothing counted more than his family, underneath it all Walt knew his father meant well!
The bond between Walt and his brother
Throughout Walt's childhood, he admired his big brother, and Roy kept a watchful eye on him. They were more than brothers, they were best friends! When Walt went to Hollywood for a fresh start he wanted Roy to be there with him, to be partners.

Obstacles he faced
Walt Disney had an eight grade education and dropped out of high school to join the army. He also got business setbacks because people said he wasn't good enough for the world. Him and his brother made a cartoon character named Oswald the lucky rabbit, which was taken away from him. People also said that mickey mouse wasn't going to be popular because it will scare the women and children and look where mickey is now! Walts own mother sometime doubted him as well.

How Walt faced his obsticles
After awhile, listening to everybody say that he wasn't going to be a successful man, he didn't care what people had to say about him, he just went through with life how it was. He faced all his problems, with his brother Roy Disney, and made many movies and cartoon shorts and even Disney World and Disney Land!
