Why is it an issue?
Video games have been blamed for the following: school shootings, increases in bullying, and violence to women. Video games that are violent cause anger and aggression towards others. In 2012 a game called "Black Ops 2" sold over one million copies and 40% were sold to children and teens.

Video games that are rated "violent" are not intended for kids.

Cons that contribute to Video Game Violence
Video games cause happiness and pleasure to those in pain or that are injured. Video Games award players for violence. They increase aggressive behavior and fighting. Video games have been blamed for school shootings like Sandy Hook Elementary. 97% of kids ages 12 to 17 play violent video games. Those are some pros to video game violence.
Pros that contribute to Video Game Violence
Most players know the difference of real life and fantasy. Violence is not proven to connect a relationship with video games. The level of control is granted to the player. The arrest rate for juvenile murders has fallen 71.9% between 1995 and 2008. Violent video games provide healthy and safe opportunities for children to virtually explore rules and consequences of violent actions.
