November

This month, we emphasize friendship and gratitude for the people we love. If we stop ourselves and look around, we see that there is much to be thankful for and so much to appreciate. The colder weather allows the children to have tea with friends and express their kindness in simple ways.

The two bring-your-bike days have been a great success and we will continue to schedule this event once a month. This gross motor activity connects well with a happy group experience.

I will start assessing the children for our upcoming conferences in early November. Please pick a time on the sign up sheet posted on the white board by the sign in book. Aside from language and math, I will take notes on social, emotional, self-help and general cognitive development. As I mentioned at Back to School Night, this is a time to establish goals and connect with one another to create a map for success for your child. This is not a time to look for mastery - that will come in due time.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break
