House Bill 4545 Tutorials

House Bill 4545 tutorials start back on January 24th. Tutorials will be on Mondays and Tuesdays only. There were some changes to tutorial groups and not all students will attend afterschool tutorials. Please look out for a letter from the school regarding tutorials. If you have questions, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher.

Lost and Found (Jackets)

If your child is missing a jacket(s), we may have them in our lost and found. We have a lot of jackets that have accumulated since last semester and are still unclaimed.

We will place a rack outside the office doors for parents to claim their child's missing items. The rack will be outside each Friday through January from 7:30am-3:45pm.

Chipotle Spirit Night

PTO scheduled a spirit night at Chipotle on January 18th. Please see more information below.

Picture Retakes

Picture retakes are scheduled for January 21st. If your student was absent, they will take their fall picture for the yearbook on this day. If you want retakes, you must return the pictures previously taken.

Literacy Family Night

Due to COVID, we have rescheduled the Literacy Family Night. We will now have the Literacy Family Night on March 3rd.

College Spirit Day

We will have a College Spirit Day on February 2nd. Students can wear a college shirt or colors of their favorite college on this day.

World Read Aloud Day

World Read Aloud Day is on February 2nd. We are planning some fun reading activities to celebrate this day. Please stop and read aloud with your child on this day.

Guitar Club

The guitar club is open for 3rd-5th grade students. The first meeting date is Monday, February 7th. Students will meet in the music room after dismissal. Practice will be held on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:45pm-4:20pm. Parents must provide transportation, as this is an after school event. Parents, please be at the school on time to pick up your students in the front of the school. Students will have to provide their own instrument and will need to purchase MEL BAY GUITAR STUDIES EXTENDED EDITION; GRADE 1 music book. This book can be found on Amazon. Students will be required to practice at home so that each member can learn and grow together. Once the student has signed the commitment form he/she will be required to follow all of the Guitar Clubs guidelines. Failure to follow the guidelines will cause the student to be dropped. 100th Day of School

We will celebrate the 100th day of school on February 8th. Please look for information from your child's teacher regarding projects and/or dress up ideas.

Talent Show Try-outs

We will hold the auditions for the Clark Talent Show on February 10th-11th. Tryouts will be held in the music room after school. Students must have transportation provided as this will be an afterschool event. We will hold auditions for Kinder-3rd grade on Thursday, February 10th, at 3:45pm. We will have auditions for 3rd-5th grade on Friday, February 11th, at 3:45pm. All material for the Talent Show must be memorized and appropriate for school. There is a permission slip outside the music room for students to get signed by parents. It is also attached below. If you have questions, feel free to contact our music teacher, Mr. Lewis.

Valentine's Day Party

Valentine's Day parties are scheduled for February 14th. At this time, we are uncertain if parents will be able to attend. Please look for more information from teachers and the school regarding party information.

Early Release and Days Off

Students have early release on February 16th. Students will receive breakfast and lunch prior to dismissal at 11:45am.

There is also no school on February 17th and February 18th. These two days are scheduled as student holidays and staff development days.
